There is an old Sunday school song that says, “The church is not a building, the church is not a steeple, the church is not a resting place, but the church is the people.” We, as the congregation of Crawfordville United Methodist Church, are a small portion of the worldwide church that the Apostle Paul identified as the Body of Christ. We are a people who are not perfect, nor do we ever pretend to be. We are a congregation of people who are in desperate need of God’s grace, the kind of grace that is offered to us in Jesus. We gather on Sunday mornings to celebrate God’s grace, to worship the Lord who is truly worthy of our praise, and to go out into the world that Christ has made, to share with others this amazing story of God’s love and grace.
