Sunday School
The study of the Bible is the central focus of our Crawfordville Sunday School Ministry. Each Sunday at 10:00 a.m., groups of preschoolers, children, students, and adults meet to study the Scriptures, to experience Christian fellowship, and to explore paths of Christian service. In this context, we do more than learn about the Bible. Our study is grounded in the strong belief that God's external truths, as recorded in Scripture, can dynamically interact with the persistent needs and dreams that are part of each person's life. We believe that the Bible can inform our thoughts, challenge our attitudes, and inspire us too.
We at Crawfordville United Methodist Church believe that the Scriptures are the key to renewal and revitalization of the church. A renewal that is to last has to come through the Word of God. To this end we offer Disciple: Becoming Disciples through Bible Study. Both long and short-term studies are aimed at transformation, not just information, and call on persons to submit themselves to examination by Scripture. “If you make my Word your home you will indeed be my disciples.” (John 8:31).
