Our Philosophy

We are the church. We believe that the church is not a building that we come to or a service that we attend. We believe that the church is made up of broken people who have given their lives to Jesus Christ and are joining him in his mission to restore and renew the world. We come together to experience community, to worship God, and to be empowered by his wisdom and love to be His people in this world.

We believe that the Holy Bible is God’s true holy and inspired Word. We base our life together upon the Holy Scriptures which contain all that we need to know God and to experience his salvation. We believe that the Holy Spirit speaks through the scriptures today to transform people into the image of Christ.

The Psalmist said, “Be still and know that I am God.” Prayer guides us into the stillness of God’s presence. It helps us to know how big God is and how sufficient He is to meet our needs. We pray for one another but it is through prayer that God’s healing and transformation is brought about in our life. It is through prayer that God’s heart is instilled in us to care about what he cares about in order to be agents of His kingdom.

We are part of the worldwide communion that is known as the church universal. We hold the same core beliefs as other Christian churches in regards to the nature of God, the relationship of the trinity, and what it means to be saved.

We are part of the Wesleyan and our unique emphasis that all life is governed by God’s grace that is present and active in the world.
